Auto Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Auto Technician to join our team at AUTOrecruit. As an Auto Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards
  • Provide advice on mechanical condition of vehicles
  • Record all necessary work, service or repairs using in-house databases or reporting systems
  • Provide guidance and training to apprentices
  • Relay information about vehicles to guests in a professional manner
  • Road test vehicles and conduct final assessments prior to delivery or return of vehicle to guest
  • Comply with OH&S policies

Requirements:

  • Qualifications as an Automotive Technician (Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical)
  • All brand experience considered
  • Minimum 3 years' experience post trade qualification
  • Manual drivers licence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service focused
  • High attention to detail
  • Full Australian working rights
