
Paediatric Infant Mental Health Specialist

The Royal Children's Hospital offers a dynamic opportunity for an advanced paediatric trainee to develop their skills in infant mental health. The Infant Mental Health Fellow position is a half-time role for 12 months, with the possibility of being offered as a full-time position for six months under specific circumstances.
This unique experience allows a paediatric fellow to work closely with an interdisciplinary team, gaining expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and interventions for infants aged zero to four years who present with a range of mental health problems. They will also participate in clinical liaison and consultation activities, ward rounds, clinical supervision, and other opportunities that arise.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in developing their clinical skillset and contributing to the hospital's commitment to providing high-quality care to infants and young children.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the IMH consultant psychiatrist and team coordinator
- Gaining experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and interventions with infants aged 0-4 years
- Participating in clinical liaison and consultation activities

- A current National Criminal Record Check
- A valid Working with Children Check
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Compliance with the hospital's immunisation procedure
- Meet AHPRA English language requirements
