Our client, a renowned global financial services company, is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their high-performing Finance team. Based in modern CBD offices, this role offers a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills while working in a collaborative environment.

As an Assistant Accountant with Keegan Adams, you will be responsible for supporting the Payroll Manager in processing payroll transactions across multiple states (NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, ACT), maintaining employee ledgers, and collecting data to update payroll information. Additionally, you will develop ad-hoc financial and operational reporting, handle employee termination calculations, manage leave entitlements, and provide professional support to employees.

This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, previous experience in payroll, superannuation, and general accounting tasks, as well as excellent communication and time management skills. The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a maternity leave contract until December 2025, offering full leave benefits and employee entitlements.

Key requirements include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant, ideally with exposure to payroll and general accounting tasks
  • Working knowledge of superannuation legislation, payroll tax, and leave entitlements
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
