The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Diesel Fitter to join our team in Mackay. In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for the safe disassembly, rebuild, and repair of heavy equipment components, including Caterpillar and Komatsu products.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Mechanical/Diesel Fitter, your main responsibilities will include:
- Disassembling and rebuilding front and rear wheel groups.
- Inspecting and measuring components for reusability and repair.
- Manual handling and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
- A Mechanical Trade Certificate.
- Experience in heavy equipment repair, preferably with Caterpillar and Komatsu components.
- A High Risk Work Licence - Forklift.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Previous experience in the Heavy Engineering or Mining Industry.
