The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Diesel Fitter to join our team in Mackay. In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for the safe disassembly, rebuild, and repair of heavy machinery components.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Mechanical/Diesel Fitter, your main responsibilities will include:
- The disassembly and rebuild of front and rear wheel groups.
- Component measurement and inspection for reusability and/or repair.
- Manual handling and housekeeping duties to ensure a safe working environment.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
- A Mechanical Trade Certificate.
- Experience in the repair of heavy machinery components, preferably Caterpillar and Komatsu.
- A High Risk Work Licence - Forklift.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Previous experience in Heavy Engineering or the Mining Industry.
