Healthcare Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality patient care.

Your primary role will be to assist patients with their daily activities, including personal hygiene and mobility. You will also participate in delegated aspects of care delivery, communicate effectively with patients and the multidisciplinary team, and maintain accurate records.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Availability for a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is also essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Participate in delegated aspects of care delivery, as directed by Registered Nurses
  • Communicate effectively with patients, residents, and the multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and incidents
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
