About the Opportunity

Western Downs Regional Council is seeking an experienced Plant Operator - Loader to join our team and contribute to the delivery of various civil construction projects throughout the region.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Dalby, offering a 9-day fortnight and a range of benefits, including access to a corporate health plan, employee assistance program, and salary packaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a range of heavy equipment, including loaders, to undertake works with Council's maintenance and construction crews.
  • Provide a high standard of operating skills and attention to detail to ensure efficient and safe completion of tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with the Resource Supervisor and other team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to Council's safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • A Construction Induction White Card and a strong awareness of relevant safety standards and requirements.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality results and contributing to a positive team culture.
