About the Opportunity

Western Downs Regional Council is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of our plant fleet, ensuring that our equipment is in top condition and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including earthmoving machinery and mechanical or electrical hand tools.
  • Operate a range of civil construction plant, including rollers, to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Conduct pre-start inspections and ensure that all equipment is in good working order.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in civil construction and maintenance works, or equivalent related experience.
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence (mandatory) or HR licence (desirable).
  • Work Health and Safety Construction Induction White Card.
