About this Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Technical Officer in Emergency Systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of state-wide radio communications and emergency services management systems.

You will work closely with our IT team and broader operations to integrate mission-critical systems and support volunteer members across NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement critical communication systems
  • Maintain state-wide radio communications and emergency services management systems
  • Integrate mission-critical systems and support volunteer members across NSW

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with radio communications and IP network systems
  • Project management style approach to coordinating technical work
  • Systems administration and managing virtualised environments, particularly VMware
  • Ability to oversee vendor relationships and competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with VHF/UHF radio systems, maritime or emergency services sector, and radio and telecommunications regulatory environment in Australia
