We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Technical Officer in Emergency Systems.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of state-wide radio communications and emergency services management systems.
You will work closely with our IT team and broader operations to integrate mission-critical systems and support volunteer members across NSW.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement critical communication systems
- Maintain state-wide radio communications and emergency services management systems
- Integrate mission-critical systems and support volunteer members across NSW
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with radio communications and IP network systems
- Project management style approach to coordinating technical work
- Systems administration and managing virtualised environments, particularly VMware
- Ability to oversee vendor relationships and competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Familiarity with VHF/UHF radio systems, maritime or emergency services sector, and radio and telecommunications regulatory environment in Australia
