Cloud API Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud API Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs on Azure.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of APIs across multiple cloud platforms. As an experienced architect, you will be responsible for defining API architecture, configuring Azure API Management policies, and ensuring compliance with security standards and governance policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement API architecture using Azure services such as API Management, Logic Apps, and Functions.
  • Configure and manage Azure API Management policies, developer portals, and API lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate APIs with microservices and other cloud-based systems.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Migrate legacy APIs to modern architectures and ensure compatibility with emerging technologies.
Requirements:API Architecture & Integration
  • Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
  • Experience with API import/export, developer portal setup, and versioning/revisions using Azure API Management.
  • Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
Security & Governance
  • Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and API key management.
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault and RBAC.
  • Understanding of compliance and governance in cloud environments.
DevOps & Automation
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Terraform or Pulumi for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Ability to debug and optimize API performance using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
