Job Description">

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscape Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key projects that will shape the public domain of our city over the next 25 years.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape design and urban planning, with experience in project management processes including project planning and programming, design and review, community engagement, procurement and purchasing processes (RFQ and RFT), and construction techniques (managed by others).

">Key Responsibilities:">
  • ">

  • Develop a framework and detailed concept designs for key parklands and urban spaces as part of our CBD Renewal Program.

    ">">

  • Managing special projects arising from the Liveable Centres Program.

    ">">

  • Preparing detailed designs and cost estimates for a variety of recreational, open space and landscape projects.

    ">">

  • Ensuring that all designs are completed in accordance with acceptable professional standards.

    ">">

  • Participate in community consultation processes and preparing concept design, detailed design, tender documentation and review of environmental factors.

    ">">

  • Developing and documenting landscape master plans suitable for public exhibition for sites as required.

    ">">

  • Providing a technical advisory service to other departments on environmental and landscape matters.

    ">">

  • Preparing project briefs, programs, deliverables and contract documentation for external consultants as required.

    ">">

  • Preparing presentation briefs and correspondence as required.

    ">">

  • Contributing to the preparation of grant submissions, project development and reporting.

">Required Skills and Qualifications:">
  • ">

  • Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture or an equal related design field.

    ">">

  • Current Class C Drivers licence.

    ">">

  • White Card.

    ">">

  • Minimum 4 years post-graduate experience in Landscape Architecture.

    ">">

  • High-level skills and experience in design and documentation using AutoCAD.

    ">">

  • Demonstrated high quality written, graphic and verbal communication skills.

    ">">

  • Experience working within multi-discipline teams including Architects, Landscape Architects and Designers, Artists, Engineers, Contract Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Contractors.

    ">">

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills in negotiation, advocacy, consultation skills, and strong customer service focus.

    ">">

  • Eligibility for Registration with AILA (Australian Institute of Landscape Architects).
