We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tooling Supervisor to join our team at Alliance Airlines Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, storage, and inventory of all tools and equipment required for aircraft maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the tool inventory system to ensure all tools are accounted for and easily accessible.
- Implement a tracking system for tool usage to ensure tools are returned promptly after use.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are regularly calibrated and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and manufacturer specifications.
- Coordinate with external calibration service providers, where necessary, and maintain records of all calibration activities.
- Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment to identify and address any wear, damage, or defects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations, including those set by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for Part 145 operations.
- Provide technical support to the maintenance team by ensuring the timely availability of tools and equipment.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to the tooling process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on new tooling technologies and best practices in aircraft maintenance to ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant.
- Relevant experience and qualifications in aircraft maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
