Actuarial Opportunities

We are currently seeking a skilled Actuary to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in actuarial techniques and experience in pricing, portfolio management, and data analysis.

The successful candidate will work closely with our business stakeholders to design, build, and enhance existing portfolio monitoring analytics. They will also be responsible for carrying out comprehensive portfolio reviews, preparing stakeholder reports, and suggesting rate and portfolio actions.

In addition, the Actuary will develop, implement, and enhance technical actuarial models using best practice and innovative techniques. They will also collaborate closely with our Business Intelligence and IT teams to manage Actuarial requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and enhance existing portfolio monitoring analytics
  • Carry out comprehensive portfolio reviews and prepare stakeholder reports
  • Develop, implement, and enhance technical actuarial models
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and IT teams to manage Actuarial requirements

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a technical discipline such as Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics or similar quantitative field
  • Associate or Fellow of a recognised Actuarial Institute or Society, or in the process of obtaining
  • A strong customer focus, work ethic, and commitment to excellence
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using statistical software [Emblem, Radar, R] and programming languages [SQL, Python or similar]
