Job Title: Medical Leadership Specialist

The Northern NSW Local Health District invites applications for a medical leadership specialist to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to the delivery of quality care in our region.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive specialist services, leading clinical teams and participating in quality improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes and provide education to clinicians across multiple disciplines.

Requirements:
  • Eligibility for registration as a specialist psychiatrist with the Medical Board of Australia or international medical graduate pathways.
  • Recent clinical experience in psychiatry at the role delineation level of service.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership to a team.
  • Effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement.
  • Availability to participate in an on-call roster and respond on site within a reasonable time frame.
