Job Overview:

The Field Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth mobilization and demobilization of field employees. This position is responsible for coordinating logistics details, managing vendor relationships, and streamlining expense reports.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Mobilize and demobilize field employees efficiently
  • Manage logistics details related to employee movements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors for transportation and insurance services
  • Streamline expense reporting processes for employees
  • Capture and track information in the GE Travel Advisory System (TAS)
  • Coordinate employee mobilizations and demobilizations for conferences, trainings, and work-out events
  • Arrange ground transportation for employees during outages
  • Support Craft Employees with Concur reimbursements
  • Oversee the delivery of essential items such as EPP, credit cards, IT equipment, and immigration/legal documents to employees
  • Ensure documentation compliance for medical appointments, immigrations, and government clearances before site access for employees
  • Lead daily calls to track documentation status of the team
  • Maintain a comprehensive documentation database for all employees
  • Coordinate third-party vendors for document delivery and review
  • Support Craft Employees with cash payments for visas or work permits
  • Collaborate with Resource Managers on employee onboarding
  • Provide occasional support to Field Engineers as needed

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in field operations, customer service, or office administration preferred
  • English proficiency mandatory

  • Bachelor's degree desirable
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Able to multi-task, coordinate, plan, and assume managerial responsibilities
  • Demonstrates leadership ability through decision-making, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and teamwork
  • Intermediate knowledge level of Microsoft Office
