Job Title: Solar Engineering Student

As a solar engineering student, you will contribute to our team by coordinating drawings and work scope, conducting trade quote reviews, participating in project meetings, updating field drawings, verifying site conditions, setting up and maintaining records, and creating manual schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software.

Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience is considered an asset. Application of various computer software programs is required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Coordinating drawings and work specific scope/trades/sub-trades
    • Conducting trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours, and rates
    • Participating in project meetings and taking meeting minutes
    • Updating field drawings and producing as-built drawings
    • Verifying site conditions and coordinating drawings
    • Setting up and maintaining records
    • Creating and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD

Qualifications:

  • Australian Working Rights that allow you to work full-time equivalent hours are required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software
