Montessori Academy: Leading Early Childhood Education

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Room Leader to lead our team of Educators in delivering a high-quality Montessori early learning experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the Children's Program, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for staff and children, and maintaining accurate records of individual children's progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the Children's Program, aligning with Early Years Learning Framework guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for staff and children, including managing anaphylaxis, allergies, and asthma.
  • Ensure accurate records are kept regarding accidents, incidents, injuries, illnesses, and medications.
  • Liaise with families on a daily basis.
  • Maintain observations and records of individual children's progress, particularly those identified through staff observation.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Room Leader in an early childhood setting.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including the National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of family communications.
  • Strong understanding of the Montessori Philosophy.
  • Well-versed in Montessori learning materials, curriculum areas, and progression.
  • Passionate about implementing Montessori early learning programs.
  • Commitment to the holistic development of their class.
