About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Childcare Program Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Hilder Road Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) in The Gap. As an Assistant Coordinator, you will play a vital role in assisting the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of quality programs for children aged 5-12 years
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the programs, ensuring seamless delivery and high-quality outcomes
  • Support the Coordinator in staff management, including supervision, guidance, and professional development
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff
  • Undertake administrative tasks, including data entry, reporting, and record-keeping
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum Diploma in Children Services or equivalent qualification; active study towards a higher qualification is also desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in childcare program coordination, with a passion for providing high-quality care and education
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, children, and families
  • FIRST AID and CPR certification; Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card); NQF knowledge would be advantageous
