We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Hilder Road Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) in The Gap, Brisbane.

About the Role

In this permanent, part-time position, you will assist the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of the Coordinator, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager, and OSHC Manager.

  • The role involves assisting with the development of quality programs for children aged 5-12 years old.
  • You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of programs, ensuring compliance with policy and maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service.
  • As the Assistant Coordinator, you will also work collaboratively with families and the school community to provide high-quality childcare services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant qualification in Childcare or Teaching (minimum Diploma in Children Services).
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare.
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong communication abilities.
  • A First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • A Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
  • NQF knowledge would be advantageous.
