Melbourne – Senior Animation Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Animator to join our team at Big Ant Studios in Melbourne. As a key member of our animation team, you will play a crucial role in the development of our premium sports titles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with art and code teams to enhance character visuals, including mesh deformation, facial animation, cloth, and hair dynamics.
- Edit and refine motion capture data using Motion Builder.
- Design animation systems in conjunction with gameplay team members.
- Coordinate and direct motion capture shoots.
Requirements:
- Strong animation skills, particularly in body mechanics.
- Proficiency in Motion Builder and Maya.
- Working knowledge of cloth and hair dynamics, preferably in video games.
- Self-driven and a creative problem solver.
- Attention to detail and composition.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Vicon Blade and motion capture.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Mel, Python, Lua).
- Understanding of classic animation fundamentals.
