Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to drive step-change optimization in cost efficiency, quality, and safety through the implementation of new technology and processes in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and evaluate manufacturing methods using Lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow to optimize production.
  • Design layouts of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles such as elimination of waste, FIFO, one-piece flow, Kanban, continuous flow, and synchronized production chains.
  • Collaborate with the Optimization Manager to optimize manpower and equipment utilization.
  • Develop value stream maps, time studies, and detailed area layouts to improve production processes.
  • Work with global teams to ensure efficient production standardization and methods.
  • Consult with vendors to arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts.
  • Apply statistical methods to understand historical production and quality trends.
  • Support new product introductions and ensure smooth production ramp-up.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, production/manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering.
  • Experience in industrial engineering and/or process planning in the production environment.
  • 2-3 years of experience in project planning, optimization, and implementation for processes, material flows, layouts, and production equipment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process development, and project engineering.
  • Excellent conceptual and analytical competencies.
  • CAD and Illustrator knowledge is an advantage.
  • Statistical training and/or exposure to Six Sigma is beneficial.
