About the Role

This is a pivotal role that will lead best practices, provide thought leadership, and governance to enhance efficiency in AIOps feature delivery and implementation at Coles Group.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Lead the migration of legacy observability systems to the strategic AIOps platform, modernising IT operations management.
  • Produce detailed technical design documents, implementation guides, and playbooks for AIOps and observability solutions within complex client environments.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to enhance observability and automate service operations and incident response.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise processes before automation.
  • Support the onboarding of applications and infrastructure onto the strategic AIOps platform.
  • Ensure that all design patterns and architecture decisions are effectively communicated through architecture governance forums.
  • Develop and maintain architecture solutions that align with Coles' strategic and operational needs.
  • Initiate and communicate innovative solutions that aim to reduce operations costs in the long term.
  • Maintain Coles' strategic roadmap for AIOps in collaboration with Service Owners.

About You and Your Skills

As a skilled Solution Architect with demonstrated experience in architecting and designing large-scale solutions and a can-do attitude, you are passionate about continuous delivery and improvement, and utilising automation where possible.

You Will Have in Your Toolkit:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Solution Architect role.
  • Experience with the following:
    • Splunk ITSI
    • Splunk Observability Cloud
    • ServiceNow
    • Microsoft Azure
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas is a bonus:
    • Workflow Automation Tooling
    • Cisco Network Observability products
    • Splunk Enterprise Security
    • Grafana
    • Prometheus
    • Datadog
    • Azure Monitor and Application Insights
  • Sound understanding of OpenTelemetry.
  • Strong understanding of AI use cases in IT Operations and experience in enhancing off-the-shelf products.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies with experience in supporting platform strategies and roadmaps.
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills, with experience in resolving complex technical issues and leading prioritisation activities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
