Electrical Technician Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled electrical technician to maintain and optimize automated material handling systems. The role involves performing maintenance and operational duties, responding to reactive calls, and ensuring optimal productivity, asset availability, health & safety compliance, service quality, and effective teamwork within agreed timelines.

Responsibilities
  • Address service requests and issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities and system performance.
  • Look for ways to improve processes and performance.
  • Anticipate issues and address them before they escalate.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in all work.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to achieve the best results.
  • Regularly review work and make necessary adjustments.
  • Acknowledge and celebrate improvements and successes.
  • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Always wear and properly use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures to ensure machinery is safely de-energized during maintenance.
Requirements
  • Educational background in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • A Grade Electrical License.
  • Ability to act as a technical contact during incidents.
  • Familiarity with Industrial Network solutions and PLC control systems is desirable.
  • Previous experience with service activities on automated materials handling systems is beneficial.
  • Methodical approach to workflows.
  • Flexible attitude towards shift work.
  • Experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) is advantageous.
