About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Ground Operations Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site investigations, drilling and logging boreholes, operating machinery, and taking soil samples.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site investigations, including drill and log boreholes using mechanical augers and hand augers;
  • Operate machinery, such as ute-mounted augers and percussion tube samplers;
  • Taking soil samples and logging in accordance with AS-standards;
  • Produce high-quality Site Reports and Feature Surveys;
  • Assist with drafting and engineering tasks, including collaborating with NATA-accredited lab teams;
  • Communicate effectively with internal staff and clients;
  • Organize daily activities efficiently and effectively under changing conditions.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role or equivalent site experience (desirable but not essential);
  • A full driver's license;
  • 3.5t towing experience (desirable but not essential);
  • Experience or exposure to operating machinery, ideally ute-mounted drilling rigs;
  • Experience or interest in survey equipment, preferably Leica or similar (desirable but not essential);
  • The ability to work autonomously;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs;
  • An Industry White Card (essential);
  • A willingness to work outdoors;
  • Mechanical aptitude.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is around $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
