Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Worker to join our team in Bendigo. As a key member of our Youth Support Team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to young people in our residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to young people, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met
  • Promote positive family relationships and community connections for the young people in our care
  • Work within a trauma-informed framework to support young people with complex needs and challenging behaviors
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care) or equivalent qualification
  • Mandatory Top-Up Units Residential Care (4 Modules)
  • A valid Australian full driver's license
  • Valid Australian working rights
  • A willingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check
  • A Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid, and CPR qualifications
Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is available to work a 24/7 roster model, including awake nights and sleepovers
  • Has a passion for supporting young people who have experienced trauma and have a disability
  • Displays resilience and commitment to trauma-informed care
