Job Title: Child Protection Manager

The role of a Child Protection Manager involves leading and managing a team of caseworkers who specialize in assisting vulnerable families.

  • Lead group supervision sessions for caseworkers to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Initiate court proceedings as necessary, working closely with legal professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and families.

  • Deliver continuous professional development to your team, staying up-to-date with the latest research, policies, and best practices in child protection.
  • Contribute to operational, policy, and change management efforts, helping to shape the organization's approach to child protection and ensuring that it remains effective and efficient.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Welfare, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in case management and conducting casework with children, young people, and their families.
  • Experience leading and managing teams in complex and challenging situations.
  • A thorough understanding of trauma-informed care and the impact poverty, trauma, and violence have on children and their families.
  • A valid Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Willingness to undertake a police check and working with children check.
