Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services for children and young people with physical needs, medical conditions, and neurodevelopmental differences.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of tailored recommendations to support occupational performance, working closely with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Service Delivery: Conduct comprehensive assessments using standardised tools, analyse findings, and develop evidence-based interventions to enhance occupational functioning.
  • Clinical Expertise: Deliver skilled interventions including Occupational Performance Coaching, Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance, and Functional skills training, promoting independence and participation.
  • Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate records in line with HCPC, RCOT, and organisational standards, ensuring clear, reasoned reports that inform treatment planning.
  • Families and Caregivers: Involve children and families in programme planning and evaluation, respecting autonomy, culture, and diversity, while ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding procedures are followed.
  • Safety and Wellbeing: Prioritise own health and safety, as well as that of others, adhering to safe handling and infection control practices, and reporting concerns in line with policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration and Resources: Utilise resources efficiently, supporting recruitment, induction, and retention of staff as appropriate, and contributing to a positive work environment.
