Job Description:

As a Starship Flight Reliability Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our flight and test operations. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, document, and manage risk for the Starship and Super Heavy vehicles.

You will work closely with design teams, build teams, and operations teams to guarantee the best possible outcome on flight and test days. This includes coordinating and facilitating real-time risk conversations during major test operations and flights at the orbital launch pad.

Your tasks will also involve managing risk tracking for a Starship Vehicle or component and supporting technical reviews, including vehicle state machine reviews (software), joint operations reviews (between ground and vehicle teams), and CONOPs reviews as required.

In addition, you will organize and run flight readiness reviews to ensure technical readiness and flight data reviews to track action items and learnings from flight. You will drive actions and findings to completion using risk, mission workflow, and change management tools.
