Delivering Excellence in Health, Safety and Environment Management

About the role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Health, Safety and Environment Manager at our Tanami mine site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all health, safety and environment requirements for the site, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a senior safety role within the mining/construction industry, hold a Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, and possess demonstrated people management experience. They will also have knowledge of safety management and systematic approach, current knowledge of relevant Workplace Health and Safety and Workers' Compensation legislation, good communication skills, solid planning and organisational skills, ability to problem solve and be adaptable, attention to detail ensuring all standards and compliance are met, and a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.

Key responsibilities include identifying improvements or updates for safety & training needs, ensuring employees comply with company policies and procedures, maintaining the training needs analysis for the organisation, coordinating all training for personnel, and ensuring training documentation for all personnel is filed and maintained correctly.

The Health, Safety and Environment Manager must also ensure all project's environmental requirements are met, coordinate and participate in workplace inspections on site, conduct rehabilitation and return to work coordinators duties, conduct risk assessment and JSA training, prepare and conduct toolbox and safety meetings, assist operations with risk management processes, conduct investigations for incidents, ensure correct reporting of all reportable incidents, provide advice to management of Workplace Health and Safety legislative requirements, attend and contribute to safety, roster change, toolbox talks and staff meetings.

Requirements
