At Australia Wide Trades Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in Campsie, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of plant equipment, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and communicating effectively with management on operational best practices and equipment status. Additionally, they will be expected to ensure that Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) protocols are always adhered to.

We are looking for a team player who has a strong background in maintenance engineering, preferably with experience in the food industry. The ideal candidate will possess relevant trade or engineering qualifications, excellent hands-on experience with high-speed food manufacturing equipment, and strong fabrication and TIG Welding skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing effective solutions
  • Communicating with management on operational best practices and equipment status
  • Ensuring OH&S protocols are always followed
  • Developing and improving existing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs
  • Organizing and coordinating with external subcontractors as needed
  • Implementing and maintaining a 5S policy to promote a clean and organized work environment
  • Record keeping and reporting

Requirements:

  • Forklift and Elevated Platform licenses
  • Strong verbal and written English skills
  • A team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
