We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Transport for Brisbane team.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of Queensland's leading transport employers, maintaining and servicing Brisbane's bus fleet across multiple depots. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic assessments and mechanical repairs on a diverse range of vehicles and plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct regular maintenance, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes, to ensure the optimal performance of our fleet vehicles and plant equipment.
- Parts Management: Manage parts inventory while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the workshop.
- Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely service delivery.
- Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of all work performed, including parts and materials utilized.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A current Australian-recognized Heavy Vehicle Trade Certificate is essential.
- Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
