Knauf Gypsum is seeking an experienced and passionate Trade Store Assistant Manager to join our team in Bundaberg, QLD. As a key member of our Trade Store team, you will be responsible for leading by example, developing and maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with Workplace Health & Safety Standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the training and development of new team members to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Manage site inventory and trade store profit & loss.
  • Drive continuous improvement at the site.
  • Analyse KPI and stock keeping information to address issues and report on progress.
  • Create a positive and motivating culture within the team that inspires great performance.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships within the team.
  • Embed Knauf Gypsum values in the operational culture.
  • Foster a culture of change readiness to optimise labour usage and streamline processes.
  • Manage contractor relationships, finance, and administration.
  • Ensure Occupational Health & Safety and preventative maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
About You
  • Proven experience in building services in a Retail or Commercial environment.
  • Previous trade experience is highly desirable.
  • Forklift licence (preferred but not essential and must be willing to obtain one).
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and time management skills.
  • Maintain a premium level of cleanliness and presentation within a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Driver licence (preferred but not essential).
  • Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in the use of SAP is highly desirable.
  • Strong commitment to safety and excellent communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
