About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Compliance Specialist to join our WAIO Infrastructure and Services team. As a key member of our team, you will provide guidance and direction on Western Australian and BHP electrical standards to Electrical teams/team members within our Department.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing electrical technical/legislative knowledge to our I&S Electrical teams throughout the Pilbara through regular site visits.
  • Identifying Electrical Safety Topics, preparing and delivering presentations and training material to our Electrical team members.
  • Facilitating regular reviews with all I&S Electrical teams responsible for performing work across the I&S portfolio, identifying opportunities and delivering continuous improvement and standardisation across our portfolio.
  • Maintaining and managing our I&S In-house Electrical Licences.
  • Performing regular reviews on Electrical Log Books and electronic Certificates of Compliance to ensure conformance for both BHP and the regulatory authorities.

This is a FIFO position on a 5/2 – 4/3 roster, with flexible rosters considered. If you have a passion for coaching electrical safety and compliance, and possess excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

About You
  • Western Australian Unrestricted Electrical Workers licence or Electrical Engineer with power qualifications (essential).
  • Western Australian Electrical Inspectors Designation (highly desirable).
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions relating to your work, or escalate if needed.
  • Adaptable and responsive to change, as well as learning new information.
