About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Technical Leader to join our Region Services organization. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving large-scale global projects and initiatives.

This position requires a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multi-year roadmaps, utilizing Agile and incremental delivery methods. You will be responsible for mentoring, training, and developing career progression for indirect reports and members of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and train indirect reports and members of the organization, focusing on technical and functional development, as well as soft skills like critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.
  • Develop and improve operational best practices across the region and with peers globally, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Gather business requirements, document functional and design specifications, and define User Acceptance Criteria for testing software.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and balance business needs with technical constraints.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams, including project management disciplines such as scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.

A PMP Certification is preferred, but not required. Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules is also desirable.
