  • Manage, coach, and mentor brokers to ensure the delivery of exceptional client outcomes and the highest quality input to insurers.

Our client is an ambitious brokerage seeking an exceptional insurance broking professional to join their team as Commercial Team Leader. With strengths in SME, Mid-Market, and Specialty Segments, this brokerage has experienced significant growth in recent years.

The Role

This is a key position within the Victorian Branch and the business nationally, requiring collaboration with the leadership team to drive the success of the Commercial broking team and deliver best-in-class insurance outcomes and risk transfer solutions.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver exceptional client outcomes, focusing on client retention, revenue generation, and the delivery of a full range of client capabilities.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with insurance carrier partners, negotiating risk transfer and placement solutions based on individual client risk profiles.
  • Monitor and review your portfolio to ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements, supporting clients and colleagues in achieving great client outcomes.
  • Manage and support the team across all General Lines of insurance, participating in business development opportunities and providing high-level support to team members.
  • Process large commercial/corporate new business, renewals, and policy document preparation, ensuring excellent service to clients and the highest quality input to insurers.

Requirements

  • Strong technical understanding of General Lines classes, with a mature understanding of General Insurance products and risk solutions.
  • Leadership experience, with a confident ability to support a culture of accountability, ownership, and transparency.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with excellent cross-selling abilities and a keen sense of business development.
  • Highly self-motivated, with a strong ability to take ownership and accountability for development and execution of relationships at a senior level.
  • Excellent market management relationships, including Insurers, Underwriting Agencies, and Lloyds and London markets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with others.
