Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Data Analytics Engineer, you will be focused on the ongoing engineering, support, and project delivery of our portfolio of rail monitoring products.

You'll take ownership of complex technical requests, drive new product initiatives, and ensure our systems remain at the forefront of railway technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize, develop, test, and implement new features in the data acquisition, analysis, and processing and reporting software.
  • Lead technical discussions with potential and existing customers to extract user requirements and drive new product initiatives and product enhancements.
  • Critically review the integration of new technologies into our product portfolio.
  • Provide detailed engineering design reviews for software disciplines.
  • Handle customer technical requests and provide advanced troubleshooting on our deployed systems requiring a detailed understanding of our data processing pipelines and data science techniques.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, or equivalent proven experience in data Acquisition, analytics, and signal processing.
  • Advanced MATLAB experience (4-6 years of practical application). Preferably with knowledge of Simulink and Spectral Kurtosis tools.
  • An in-depth understanding of sensor/technology selection, data acquisition systems, signal processing, and statistical data analysis.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience working with electromechanical and software systems.
  • Experience with AI/ML techniques and algorithm development.
  • Rail industry - asset condition monitoring, preventive, and predictive maintenance knowledge.
