Emergency Response Trainer Position

Ventia's Fire Services is seeking a qualified Emergency Response Trainer to join their team. With over 35 years of experience in working with Defence and providing Firefighting Services, the company is now expanding its services and looking for individuals who can help deliver high-quality training programs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering emergency response training programs that meet contractual requirements. They will also develop departmental-specific curriculum guidelines, support the development of assessment tools, and contribute to the development of training curriculum at a state and national level.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver emergency response training programs.
  • Develop departmental-specific curriculum guidelines consistent with national legislation, best practices, and program implementation.
  • Support the development of assessment tools to ensure appropriate systems, governance, and processes are in place to manage ongoing skills and competency maintenance.
  • Contribute at a state and national level to the development of training curriculum, learning guides, and assessment procedures for emergency response topics.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a background in firefighting and first aid, as well as experience in training and people management. They will also need to possess qualifications such as a Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management) and a Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations).
