Senior Accountant Opportunity in a Dynamic Team

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our business services team, providing leadership and guidance to junior staff.

  • This senior role involves managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), partnerships, companies, self-managed super funds (SMSFs), and individuals.
  • You will be responsible for reviewing compliance work, such as tax returns, business activity statements (BAS), and financial statements.
  • Delivering tax planning, structuring, and business advisory services is also a key aspect of this position.
  • As a mentor, you will support the development of junior and intermediate accountants.
  • You will build trusted relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact and liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Australian public practice.
  • A Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, or near completion.
  • A strong technical background in taxation and compliance.
  • Proven experience mentoring junior staff.
  • Excellent client-facing skills and confident communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Xero, Microsoft, and cloud-based compliance systems.
