Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled veterinary nurse to fill a senior leadership position within our organization. As the successful candidate, you will play a key role in implementing strategic planning initiatives related to clinical training, education, and performance for our dedicated nursing teams.

This is a full-time 12-month contract position that requires a strong focus on continuing education and training. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality training and education programs that drive efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity within a team setting.

In this role, you will assist with the implementation of strategic planning as it relates to clinical training, education, and performance for our nursing teams. You will also provide coaching and mentoring at a peer group level to drive standards, patient care, capability, and business performance.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our clinical teams to implement strategic planning initiatives related to clinical training, education, and performance
  • Develop and deliver training programs that drive efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity within a team setting
  • Provide coaching and mentoring at a peer group level to drive standards, patient care, capability, and business performance
  • Assist with the development of training action plans to address skills gaps within our clinic teams
  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders to create opportunities and strengthen pipelines
Requirements
  • Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing or above
  • High-level knowledge and skill of professional veterinary nursing principles, practices, concepts, and procedures
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a companion animal setting with a strong surgical background
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality training and education programs
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to inspire patience, flexibility, creativity, and perseverance in others
