Job Title: Community Support Worker

This role is vital in assisting clients with personal care, bowel care, medication management, domestic duties, community access, and achieving their NDIS goals. As a result, the successful candidate will require travel to various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care assistance including bathing, bowel care, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with medication management and administration.
  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals for clients.
  • Perform domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Organize and accompany clients to appointments and social activities.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to develop and achieve their NDIS goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages clients independence and well-being.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the disability support or healthcare sector.
  • Strong understanding of personal care practices and medication management.
  • Bowel care experience and/or training highly regarded.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach with a genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Flexibility to travel to various locations and adapt to different client needs.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with client management systems.
  • Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
