Energy Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in connecting millions of people and businesses to a sustainable energy future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice throughout the planning and delivery of high-voltage infrastructure projects.
  • Support project development, including scope definition, cost estimation, construction scheduling, inspection, and testing.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Mentor and guide colleagues, support recruitment efforts, and contribute to the development of civil procedures, specifications, and training materials.
  • Represent the organization in the creation of construction-related documentation and provide on-site support to resolve issues.
  • Monitor contractor performance and offer solutions to meet project milestones and safety requirements.
  • Engage with stakeholders, particularly landholders, and promote cultural heritage compliance.
  • Through coaching and leadership, help build internal capability, ensuring staff are skilled, supported, and aligned with project goals.

Requirements:

  • An Associate Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil Construction or a relevant Trade Qualification.
  • A current QLD 'C class' Drivers Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and civil construction, enabling provision of technical leadership and coaching to staff and contractors regarding civil construction works in an electrical environment.
  • Prior knowledge of high voltage power systems, particularly transmission lines and/or substations, secondary systems, and telecommunications would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with safe work practices, stakeholder management, and contractor oversight.
