Senior Production Engineer

As a Senior Production Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing production at our highly successful Atlas mineral sands project.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the new mine site team as the Quarry Manager and Alternate Senior Site Executive. Your responsibilities will include executing short-term mining plans, designs, and schedules to maximize production.

  • Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety Regulations as appointed site Quarry Manager.
  • Support the Senior Site Executive on an as-required basis.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the mine site to identify and correct non-compliance.
  • Supervise contractors to ensure health, safety, and environment obligations are met.
  • Manage development works and projects within budget, controlling and reporting costs effectively.
  • Collaborate with Technical Services personnel to minimize dilution and mineral loss.
  • Maintain accurate mining production data and provide regular reports.
  • Contribute to short and medium-term mine optimization planning, mine designs, and scheduling for various activities.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an open pit operational mining role, preferably in mineral sands.
  • Proven contractor management and supervision experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:
