Our team seeks an accomplished Production Engineering Leader
The role is situated at the Atlas mineral sands project, approximately 2.5 hours north of Perth in Western Australia.
As a Production Engineering Leader, you will execute short-term mining plans, designs, and schedules to optimize production.
Key Responsibilities:- Fulfill the requirements of the appointed Quarry Manager under the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
- Perform the duties of the Alternate Senior Site Executive on an as-needed basis under the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022, addressing any non-compliance.
- Ensure Contractor-provided supervision and training meet health, safety, and environment obligations.
- Implement daily, weekly, and monthly plans according to forecasts.
- Manage development works and projects within budget, controlling and reporting costs effectively.
- Collaborate regularly with Technical Services personnel to minimize dilution and mineral loss.
- Maintain mining production data and provide reports as needed.
- Contribute to short and medium-term mine optimization planning, mine designs, and scheduling for various activities.
- A tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in open-pit operational mining roles, preferably in mineral sands.
- Five years of contractor management and supervision experience.
- Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety, health, environment, people, community, and diversity.
