About the RoleWe are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at one of our residential facilities. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing clinical care to residents, including wound management, pain control, and medication administration. You will also play a leadership role in overseeing the care provided by other nursing staff, ensuring that all services delivered reflect our commitment to excellence and resident-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, while monitoring residents' responses and adjusting plans as needed.
- Lead and collaborate with other nursing staff to ensure seamless delivery of care, promoting a culture of teamwork and respect.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and evidence-based guidelines in gerontological nursing, applying this knowledge to improve care outcomes and resident satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and solutions to enhance the overall quality of care.
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 6 months post-graduate experience.
- Current AHPRA registration and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Proven experience working in aged care, with a focus on gerontological nursing principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including residents, families, and colleagues.
