About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Heavy Diesel Fitter - Mechanical Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our Mobile Fleet Maintenance work team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical maintenance support to our underground operations. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mobile fleet, including heavy machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Assist with planned maintenance activities and complete tasks in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Provide mechanical trade skills to perform unplanned or breakdown maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain equipment on the surface and underground, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with your team to achieve high levels of accountability and build productive relationships.
  • Provide feedback to Shift Maintenance Supervisors on job progress and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

A proven commitment to safety and a willingness to speak up when you identify potential hazards.Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualifications and experience in heavy machinery maintenance.Underground mining experience is highly regarded, although not essential.Rigger, Dogger, Crane, FL, and Bridge & Gantry tickets are advantageous.Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.A proactive team player with self-motivation and the ability to work independently.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with multiple levels and disciplines.
