Accounts Payable Systems Officer

The role of Accounts Payable Systems Officer is a key position within our organization, responsible for the efficient and effective management of job data and provision of administrative support.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Service Delivery team to provide data cleansing and validation support, while improving processes around collection of data. This role also includes the provision of technical administrative support, including accounts payable, contract reporting and administration, and maintaining accurate and timely job data for input into SA Water data management systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Validating KPI performance and associated Work Order
  • Validating all relevant data & reporting provided in time frames required
  • Reviewing and validating job data input into Work Order App/ Maximo by the field crews and subcontractors
  • Assisting in the development of metrics to assess data entry integrity
  • Reporting on the accuracy and completeness of data entry into the WOA by the field workforce
  • Sending and following up on requests for Work Order data to Supervisors and Contractors to action

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, demonstrated understanding of the water and network utility sectors, and proficient experience in Microsoft Excel. A Certificate in Business Administration or similar field is desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work autonomously as well as within a team, strong initiative and sound problem-solving skills, and strong time management and organisation skills are essential.
