Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and solutions-focused individual to take on a pivotal role in leading end-of-month reporting, managing a small team, and ensuring the accuracy of transactional entries and financial frameworks.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and supporting a small finance team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Accurately managing revenue invoicing, general journal entries, and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensuring timely closing of monthly financial periods and delivering Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
  • Tackling reconciliations with finesse from fixed assets to intercompany loans.
  • Managing compliance matters including BAS lodgement, payroll, superannuation, and audit support.
  • Strengthening internal controls and contributing to process and system enhancements.
  • Building strong relationships with offshore teams, suppliers, auditors, and tax consultants.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to ensure our financial engine runs smoothly.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • CPA or CA qualification (highly desirable but not essential).
  • Degree-qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar finance role, or 5+ years' proven industry experience.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent stakeholder engagement.
  • Advanced time management, autonomy, and attention to detail.
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs a must).
  • Confidence working across reporting systems and adapting to evolving technology.
  • Able to juggle deadlines, priorities, and maintain a cool head under pressure.
