We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to maintain our parks, reserves, and open spaces.
About the RoleAs a Park Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall enjoyment of our public areas. This includes operating and cleaning equipment such as mowers and trucks, performing daily equipment checks, and logging your work activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain public parks and open spaces by removing litter, pruning vegetation, and undertaking other necessary tasks.
- Operate and clean equipment in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and company policies.
- Conduct daily equipment checks and log any maintenance or repairs required.
- Follow all relevant safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Attend team meetings and provide feedback on your work activities and any issues that arise.
- Support your colleagues when needed and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- A valid Medium Rigid Driver's Licence is essential for this role.
- Previous experience in turf management or horticulture is highly desirable.
- You must be able to read maps and take measurements accurately.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills are necessary for this position.
- A Certificate in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- You must undergo a Working with Children Check.
