Looking for a new challenge as a Night Manager in Melbourne? We're looking for an experienced professional to join our team and take charge of the hotel during overnight hours.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Night Manager to lead our front office team and ensure a safe, secure, and smoothly run operation. As Night Manager, you will be responsible for managing guest experiences, overseeing team performance, and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the night audit.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the front office department, specifically for the Night Audit function and overnight shift duties.
  • Ensure the front office team delivers a great service, professional attention, and personal recognition.
  • Ensure guests are greeted upon arrival and make time to engage with guests. Respond appropriately to guest complaints, solicit feedback, and build relationships to drive continuous improvement in guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the hotel grounds and take immediate actions to correct any deficiencies.
  • Provide cross-functional support by assisting other departments as required, promoting a collaborative and seamless guest experience.
  • Ensure colleagues are properly trained and have the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.
  • Assist Management with induction, on-boarding, training, and development of colleagues as a part of the Performance Management Cycle.
  • Manage and oversee all hotel operations on shift.
  • Oversee night audit function and preparation of daily financial reports. Work closely with our finance team to ensure the auditing and reporting process has a high level of detail overnight.
  • Be the first responder – know how to respond to emergency situations.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Three years of guest service/hotel experience with at least one year in a management capacity.
  • A demonstrated capability of collaborating with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities, so every guest leaves with great memories.
  • Compliant – hold current Responsible Service of Alcohol, First Aid & CPR. You will be responsible to renew in line with industry standards.
  • Must be able to work shifts from 11pm-7am.
  • Flexibility– weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job.
  • Full working rights in Australia without restrictions.
