Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Canberra.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage positions within the HR Management Information System (HRMIS).
  • Process establishment variation requests, including creating approved/budgeted positions, amending terms, and managing work patterns.
  • Maintain staffing establishment, providing fortnightly updates to senior management and distributing Organisation Charts.
  • Review internal processes to identify improvements and develop new procedures.
  • Maintain employee Working with Children Check records in HRMIS and provide reporting data monthly.
  • Support HRMIS project teams with system integration and undertake HR reporting tasks.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to support First Nations peoples and communicate effectively with them.
  • Relevant experience working as an Establishment Officer or similar.
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong administrative skills, with experience using HR-related systems.
  • Ability to organize work independently, manage competing priorities, and complete tasks on time.
  • Excellent communication skills, including relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
